Information About Your Perspective Provider
I am Registered by the Department of Family and Protective Services in Texas.
Due to my excellent complaince record, I am inspected by childcare licensing every 34 to 36 months.
I have been in the childcare business 21 years.
I am Certified in C.P.R and First Aid, and is always renewal every two years.
I obtained annual training at my local college on: Child Development.
I also obtained Medical training to better serve the children in care.
I obtained (NAFCC) National Association for Family Child Care accreditation status in 1997.
I have been a paid mentor for the Alliance for Quality Care Program.
My children are my #1 priority, that is why I became an in home childcare provider.
I have three children ages 20, 19, and 6 years, one in college, one in the military, and one in elementary school.
Information About the Childcare Program
Due to childcare licensing regulations, my maximum ratio limit is 6 children.
I mainly, specialized in newborn care up to non-potty training age.
Since, my specialty is infant and toddler care, I do not teach a preschool curriculum.
Children at this age have a very short attention span.
I do provide three nutritious meals daily.
I believed that children need to be place in a preschool, after two years of age.
Nutrition Meals
Infants: I provide infant cereal, fruits, meats and veggies at the appropriate age.
Children with a special diet must have a sign note form the doctor, (example children on vegetarian diets, or soy milk diet).
Infant Care
I have experienced in caring for acid reflex babies.
I allowed moms to bring breast milk in bottles, or breast milk baggies. Label with your child’s name, and placed in a Ziploc storage bag.
I do not allow moms to come into my home and breast-feed.
School Teachers and Summer Care
Teachers do not pay tuition during the summer, but must pay for all other holidays, spring break, and winter break etc.
Sick Policy:
Children are only cared for, if they have the following:
A (mild) cold
Very low temp., due to teething.
An ear infection with a doctor’s note.
If the illness prevents the child from participating comfortably in childcare activities, the child will not be admitted into my daycare home.
Supplies Needed From Home
All supplies must be label with your child's name.
Baby wipes
Formula
Diapers
Bottles
Change of clothes, including socks.
Shoes, if age appropriate.
A two handle, soft spout sippy cup, made by Advent. If age appropriate.
Naps:
Infants nap according to their needs or according to the parent’s wishes.
Toddlers are placed on a napping schedule, or according to the parent’s wishes.
